Status Update 10.17

sooooo i'm still stuck in arizona... not sure why.  good part of it is i very rarely get allergies here... whenever i go back to ny they hit me like a mack truck.  not cool.

going to be back in ny for my high school reunion during the thanksgiving weekend.  can't believe it's been 10 years already... more disappointing is i don't have much to show for it haha but i'm not worried really.  i guess over the last 10 years, i've made lots of friends in many different parts of the country.  i guess there's not much more i can boast, but i'm okay with it.

i joined the choir at church last month... really weird singing again.  i really haven't done it consistently since freshman year of college (10 years ago).  very different though... most of the members are in their 60's-80's.  i feel like the odd one out... but man they practice their hearts out and i feel good being there.

speaking of which... also happening during thanksgiving break is my grandmother's 100th birthday.  apparently about 100 people are coming out to celebrate from all over the US and from Korea too.  going to be weird seeing all of them and trying to communicate that i'm not married haha.

i dunno, i guess i just wanted to give a status update for anyone who still cares

maybe i'll see some of you during the thanksgiving break.

ps. if anyone has a job for me in ny, i might come back *wink wink*

What About Shea?

Yankees Stadium is set to host its last game this weekend and with it there's been a ton of coverage.  Sure, there's a lot of history in the place.  But there's almost no mention of Shea Stadium's last season.  Even in ESPN broadcasts of Mets games, the discussion turns to Yankees Stadium...  Hopefully after this weekend some attention will be paid to the less-famous and forgotten venue where some of my earliest memories have been implanted into my brain (Mets World Series in 1986 when I was 6 years old).

LGM!

(I'm betting Dan Leong leaves a Yankee fan comment)
